Vector Control Highlighted in Bayer’s Research Magazine

A recently published article highlights key milestones in vector control, the challenges faced by Bayer scientists in the field and the next generation of vector control solutions.

Bayer vector control scientist researching insecticides“Mosquitoes are real survival artists.” A recently published article in research, the Bayer Scientific Magazine, takes an in-depth look at the diseases spread by the world’s deadliest animal and the critical role vector control plays in fighting them. The War on Mosquitoes addresses current challenges faced by Bayer scientists in the field and the next generation of vector control solutions developed by Bayer.

These solutions include everything from education in the form of the Mosquito Control Learning Lab to the latest in product innovations like Fludora® Fusion, a two-way insecticide. Its development was prompted by increasing insecticide resistance, another topic tackled in the research magazine article.

The special feature includes an interactive 360-degree view of a Zika virus, key milestones in insecticide research and a world map showing the regions where dengue, malaria and Zika are endemic.

Published in English, German and soon in Portuguese with a circulation of about 140,000 copies, the magazine features articles on popular science topics concerning every aspect of research at Bayer and targets a wide audience including students, teachers, scientists, lecturers, physicians, pharmacists, journalists, and politicians.
